Current Pro-democracy Protest in Hong Kong

The current pro-democracy protest has been discussed thoroughly here in Larry Diamond's column.

I clearly support the protesters against C.Y. Leung's government, which is factually a branch of Beijing government, not a highly self-governance as expected. The reason of my position is simple: I do not trust China Communist Party, which is the agent of tyranny, dictator and disaster. China Communist Party makes the whole Mainland China the biggest prison around the world, now it wants include Hong Kong as part of the prison, how can I support the Beijing government?

As for the possible solution of the protest in Hong Kong, I agree Larry Diamond in here:

China’s rulers are now stuck in a trap of their own making. If they brutally repress mass demonstrations, as they did a quarter century ago, they will gravely damage their international legitimacy, wreck prospects for closer relations with Taiwan, and destroy the civic fabric of Hong Kong. If they do what they should have done months ago — negotiate — they fear they will look to be capitulating to mass pressure, thereby inviting more of it in a country where hundreds of local-level protests erupt daily. Thus they will probably wait, hoping the protests will ebb, while preserving the option of dumping the current Chief Executive, C.Y. Leung, as a sacrificial lamb.

Bigger Tragedy about MH370: No Chinese People on Chinese Media

When Flight MH370 of Malaysia Airline is concluded to "have ended in the Indian Ocean, and no one on board survived", many non-Chinese media published memorial news articles in their front pages, while the Chinese mainstream media continue to publish bureaucrats' stories in their front pages rather than discussing her people's lives.

This is a bigger tragedy for all Chinese people, excluding Chinese bureaucrats.

Shen Jilan: Most Well-known "Yes Woman" in NPC of China

Shen Jilan, the most known "Yes Woman" in NPC (National People's Congress) of China, aged 85, may appear in the 2014's NPC again.

Shen has served as a deputy to the NPC (National People's Congress) since its initial meeting in 1954, she is the only one for this record in China. Her half-century term has led to her being dubbed "the world's longest-serving congresswoman".

Shen is famous for her pro-Party sayings and Always-Vote-Yes for every motion/proposal in NPC:
"I never vote against in conferences, I always support the leadership of the Party."
"Internet should be under the control and supervised, we can not follow the foreign way, no one can speak as he wishes,..., we live in a socialist country under the leadership of the Party."
"We have democratic election, and I do not communicate with my voters."

Snobbish Chinese Media: Biden's Noodle and Xi Jinping's Steamed Bun

Almost all the mainstream Chinese media reported that President Xi Jinping was capable to hold the tray, eat the steamed buns and pay the bills all by himself in a chain restaurant, last Saturday, Beijing.

This surprise visit was taken as a proof of the common touch between the top leader and the lower public, spreading quickly through the internet. Such interactions are highly unusual for senior Chinese officials, which are more stage-managed by Communist Party's propaganda divisions(some interviews leaked out later did prove that the restaurant had been cleared somehow in advance that morning).

Well, those Chinese media who sing high praise for Xi Jinping's surprise visit to the lower restaurant may have forgotten that how they satirized that American Vice President Joe Biden's eating noodle in a similar restaurant while visiting China was a pure show-off:

One can see how weird (snobbish) the Chinese media are:
Xi Jinping ate steamed buns with ordinary people: he loves people and is one of the people.
Biden ate noodle with ordinary people: he was showing off.

And my response to these media is:

Conclusion: No.2 leader of Communist Party is the most fatal job in the world.

What Do China and North Korea Have in Common as for Their Top Leaders? No.2

Another similarity between China and North Korea is: Half of the coffin-watchers of the last leader were killed or jailed by the rest half.

In 1976, Mao Zedong passed away. Soon after his death Jiang Qing his wife ( the woman in black in the picture above), together with some so-called counter-revolutionists, was jailed by other CPC tycoons.

In 2013, after Jang Song-thaek was arrested and executed soon, 5 of the 7 people who ever walked around Kim Jong il's coffin car were cleared or jailed.

This is the destiny of tyrannies, isn't it?

Tunnel People Exiled, Thermal Wells Sealed with Cement by Government

Here are some recent consecutive heated news:

Dec 5, 2013: Inhabitants were found living underground in some thermal wells due to poverty or homelessness, Beijing. Some of the tunnel people have lived there for more than 20 years.

Dec 6, 2013: Government responded surprisingly efficiently. They sealed the related thermal wells with cement as soon as the news came out, while refusing to reply to how to settle down the tunnel people.

To cover the problem rather than to solve it, is not a valuable news in China. The point of the news is the Government is so efficient to cover scandals.

LOL NEWS//Government Media Advocate the Benefits of Beijing's Polluting Fog and Haze

For the last half of the past week, Beijing, Shanghai and many other cities in the north or east of China were covered by heavy polluting fog and haze. Yet, the following two flattering news were just so beyond my imagination:

Fog and Haze have Five Benefits: 1, they let the Chinese people more united; 2, they let the Chinese people more equal; 3, they keep the Chinese people sober; 4, they let the Chinese people more humorous; 5, they enrich the Chinese people's knowledge.

Can you imagine that the media are describing fog and haze which kill more and more people in China? And Why?

Do not worry about these journalists' IQ, nor they are insane. They, as official media, just have to flatter Government. Since they are unable to criticize Government's incapability of controlling pollution, they have to advocate the ironical benefits of polluting fog and haze.

So, it is expected you read such disgusting news on Chinese governmental newspapers, isn't it?

Chinese Army Scandal Video Exposed: Recruits Bullied by Veterans

The video is shocking. It came out recently from a fire force (here in China the firemen are part of the army) in Inner Mongolia, and I don't think such an army is powerful enough to defend the people.

Is this the so-called China Dream? No, this is a nightmare, both for Chinese people and for soldiers.

What Do China and North Korea Have in Common as for Their Top Leaders?

What do China and North Korea the two communist countries have in common as for their top leaders?

The answers are somewhat intriguing: the leaders of both China and North Korea are marked as the unprecedented revolutionary leaders in the world, while their most close relatives are all counter-revolutionists.

China:

Mao Zedong, the husband and revolutionist

versus

Jiang Qing, the wife and counter-revolutionist.

North Korea:

Kim Jong-un, the nephew and revolutionist

versus

Chang Song-thaek, the uncle and counter-revolutionist

Is it weird? NO. This is the very portrays of totalitarian regimes.

China Decided to Establish the National Security Council

*KGB: KGB is short for Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti(Russian), i.e., Committee for State Security(English)

The Third Plenary Session of 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee declared to establish two new bureaus, and one of them is the National Security Council.

This council is said to be established to improve the national security system and strategy. Yet, it seems a tradition for communist countries to set up a quasi-secret department to erase those dissidents or someone the government dislikes. The counterpart department KGB in Soviet Union is good at doing this job, and they are very efficient in the Great Purge.

It is not coincident that the leaders of communist countries are also the top leaders of these secret security councils. Lenin established KGB(its predecessor), Stalin extended it greatly, and Putin was one of the leaders of KGB, and now Mr Xi Jinping, the leaders of China, joined them.

This history will not end until the end of communist parties.

The Change of Russian Leaders

Jimmy Kimmel Unnecessary to Apologize for the Debatable "Kids' Table" Segment Show

During the Oct. 16 episode of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live", host Kimmel held a "kids table" segment on the government shutdown. Kimmel posed this question to four kids: "America owes China a lot of money, $1.3 trillion. How should we pay them back" he asked. Right away, one child suggests "killing everyone in China."

This segment has now raised all sorts of issues. Some Chinese people protested as they took this TV show as a much insulting one. Domestic China's media, like CCTV, strongly criticized this segment also.

Well, in my opinion, the kid just publicized what the China's government has been doing then, so it is unnecessary for Jimmy Kimmel or ABC to say sorry to Chinese people. See below:

This is a new Porsche Cayenne car (about RMB 900,000-2,000,000 yuan), the license number is N.B2B67 (a Shandong Province car).

Below the windshield, you can clearly see the symbol of hammer-sickle, the logo of Communist Party of China. And the four Chinese characters: lianzheng diaoyan (Anti-corruption Investigation in English).

Well, now we know the reason why China is unable to figure out the issue of corruption.
