Painted Patriotism, Polluted Patriotism

The earthquake which struck Sichuan Province in April 20 became a good chance for the government to advocate patriotism.

Patriotism is positive, but forcible patriotism is weird. If it is not free to criticize, then it is meaningless to praise. In the country where you are not free to speak, not free to purchase houses or cars, not free to buy clean food or water, isn't weird to talk about patriotism?
