2012 Nobel Prize in Literature Winner Mo Yan's Works was Banned in China, 2002
In 2002, when the Workers Press of China planned to publish the revised version of "Big Boobies, Big Butt" by Mo Yan, winner of 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature, The General Administration of Press and Publication thought there were serious problems inside, and banned the publish of the book. The Press had to submit a written apology and Wang Xiaoping the deputy editor had to be retired in advance.
What a record for China: it banned the works of its own Nobel Prize winner. And this was not the first time it banned good books.
